The Truest Friend

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Jesus, you are such a wonderful friend, and I am humbled by your example. You are kind and attentive to those who must have annoyed and taxed your nerves. You gave generously of yourself in every way to help others. You were loving enough to step on toes when necessary in order to teach vital lessons. You risked violence and rejection to point people toward true life. You served in the lowliest ways to display your devotion. In contrast, I live selfishly. I don’t give or care as much as I should. Jesus, shape my heart into your likeness and make me the kind of friend whose life points to your perfect love. Amen.

John 15:15

"No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
