Humility in Conflict

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

My King, when I get worked up or upset over something that has to do with your holy word or kingdom, help me be careful about what I say and do. When there is conflict, guide me in handling it wisely, lovingly, and humbly. Help me welcome and accept correction. Don’t let me rebuke another without first considering if I am the one in need of rebuke. Guard my words and the tone in which they are delivered. May what others hear from me be only what you say through me. Amen.
James 1:19-20
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
