Jesus, there is no sweeter friendship than yours. Thank you for multiplying it through relationships with fellow believers. When our human nature makes us prone to irritability, pettiness, and pride, remind us of the joy that comes from putting others’ good above our own. Remind us of the sacred privilege of being called to your command to practice Christ-like love and walk with one another. You loved us while we were still lost sinners and made the ultimate sacrifice for us; guide us in mirroring that love to those around us. Amen.
John 15:11-13
I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
