Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith
Lord, so much conflict stems from our seeking validation from those who are neither equipped nor qualified to give it. Deep-seated, true, unbiased approval – the kind that lays to rest our innermost insecurities and fears – comes only from you. Everything else is but an echo or cheap imitation of what you feel for and say is true of us. Thank you, God, that my worth does not rest in the fickle, flappable opinions of the people around me. I can trust in your steadfast love and honesty. In you I find strength to experience joy in who I am and pursue the best version of who you created me to be. Amen.
