A Warrior's Heart

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Lord King, when Saul was appointed over Israel, you touched the hearts of his warriors. I struggle to fully submit to your rule and authority. I know I would love you more deeply and be more fulfilled were I to actively practice fealty under you. Lord, touch me and give me a warrior’s heart. Renew my passion for your kingdom and loyalty to you. Help me delight in your sovereignty and wholeheartedly dedicate myself to your service. I have been saved by you, the all-powerful eternal King. May I live worthy of your calling. Amen.

1 Samuel 10:25-26

Samuel told the people the rights and duties of the kingship; and he wrote them in a book and laid it up before the Lord. Then Samuel sent all the people back to their homes. Saul also went to his home at Gibeah, and with him went warriors whose hearts God had touched.
