Adjusting My Adoration
Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Gracious Lord, create in me a heart that is not only willing but enthusiastic about glorifying you. Whether during bible study time, prayer, or ministry to others, my tendency is to make it about myself and focus on what I want or think I should get out of it. In doing so, I neglect offering you your rightful praise and adoration. Help me move forward with humility and fresh eyes to see all the reasons why praise of your name should be top of mind and first to roll from my tongue. Amen.
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
