Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Father, thank you for rock bottom. Thank you for reminding me that you are the only solid foundation for life. I desperately cling to frail things for meaning and guidance, but they are never enough, only temporal and shallow. When they fail and I fall, you meet me in the hole I’ve dug for myself, speaking to me where there are no distractions or false hopes. You equip me with the essentials I need to climb toward Heaven where I belong. Sometimes it takes a rude awakening, but you are always there for me at the end of my rope. Thank you for letting me fall when I need to and loving me enough to help me climb again. Amen.

Hosea 2:13-15

I will punish her for the days

she burned incense to the Baals;

she decked herself with rings and jewelry,

and went after her lovers,

but me she forgot,”

declares the Lord.

“Therefore I am now going to allure her;

I will lead her into the wilderness

and speak tenderly to her.

There I will give her back her vineyards,

and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope.

There she will respond as in the days of her youth,

as in the day she came up out of Egypt.
