Choosing Your Crown

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Holy King, you know how drawn I am to gold and precious gems and fine clothing like royal robes. But you accepted a crown of thorns and mocking costume as you knowingly neared the cross. You chose humiliation for my sake, though all the riches of heaven and earth are yours by right. Lord, teach me to treasure the crown of thorns and not to shy from it when time comes to suffer humiliation for the love of you and the good of others. May my heart be humble after your example. Amen.
