Called to My Feet

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Jesus, there are seasons of life in which I fall into a kind of spiritual coma – not dead yet not really living either. In these periods my head still acknowledges the truth of your Word and your sovereignty as Creator, but my heart is in slumber and I feel helpless in doing anything to rouse it. But just as you did with the little girl who all gave up for dead, you take my hand in yours and call my heart to its feet. You restore me back into the fullness of life in you. Thank you, Jesus, for this everlasting hope to build my faith upon. Amen.

Mark 5:40-41

But they laughed at him.

After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.
