Caring for Creation
Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Thank you, God, for the responsibility of caring for your creation. You’ve lavished us with an immense universe full of intricate complexities for our enjoyment. The finest veins of every leaf in every jungle are hand painted with your immaculate care. Even cracks in desert earth bear your thumbprint. We can see your humor in the creatures around us and your might in the ocean waves. Your voice resounds in thunder and comforts on gentle breezes. Show us how to live as worthy stewards of this amazing gift. Amen.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind. He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.
He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved. You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
