Thank you, Lord, for binding the hearts of your people to one another. Your Holy Spirit connects us across time and space to encourage, uplift, teach, and support each other. I thank you for the cloud of witnesses who have gone ahead to the next life and are cheering for those of us here below. Help us press on toward the goal of fulfilling our earthly purposes for your glory and be steady helpers to one another as we do so. May all we do be offerings of praise to your holy name. Amen.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
