Confronting Our Reflection

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Father God, I have said and done ugly things. I’ve thought hateful and impure thoughts. Grudges have harbored in my heart. Between these willful sins and my inherent human flaws, there isn’t much about me that lives up to your holy standard. But you call me blessed, chosen, and loved. You see me as beautiful because I am your child. Everything good about me comes from you. Help me, Father, take on your character more and more each day that I may live in a way that matches how you see me. Amen.

But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
