Developing Noble Character

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

God, craft me into a person of noble character. May my work ethic, speech, composure, and manner toward others serve as testaments to your goodness and love. Shape my integrity to match that of Jesus. Compel me by your Holy Spirit to live honestly, with conviction, and in wisdom. Refine out any impurities in my heart. Strengthen me to do the hard and holy work set before me, and not just to choose the path of innocuous least resistance. Fill my mouth with blessings for others and guide my steps into the paths of those you would have me serve. Help me put in the effort of seeking you each and every day that I would come to resemble Jesus. Amen.

Proverbs 31:25-30

She is clothed with strength and dignity;

she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom,

and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household

and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed;

her husband also, and he praises her:

“Many women do noble things,

but you surpass them all.”

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;

but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
