Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Everlasting Father, thank you for the divine appointments you sprinkle throughout our lives – those “chance” encounters we have with people who say the perfect thing just when we need it or people whose needs intersect with our unique abilities to meet them. You have blessed me beyond expectation with business meetings that turned into prayer circles, grocery store trips where your angels in disguise met me next to the potatoes, and opportunities to lend a hand to strangers and change the trajectory of their bad day. Lord, thank you for meeting me in unexpected ways. Amen.
Acts 8:26-30
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet.
