Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Father God, You could have made us, then stepped away. No hurt. No disappointment. Just the pleasure of creating. But you didn’t do that. You chose to stick with us through the atrocities and trials of our own making. You have not only watched over us since the world began, but you sent your Son to enter into it and save us from ourselves. We chose to stray. We sin willfully. But you love us and look after us despite our rebellion against you. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness. Thank you for your patience and steadfastness. You are the truest Father we could ever hope for. May we endeavor to be better children. Amen.
1 Peter 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
