Generosity Culture

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Gracious Provider, thank you for the immeasurable generosity with which you have showered me through the time, resources, coordination, and support of others. In moments of the greatest but quietest need, you have sent surprise deliveries of aid and encouragement. Nothing is truly quite so humbling as being the unworthy beneficiary of help given out of pure love by someone who is also grappling with need. May I always be someone who rejoices in opportunities to be that kind of blessing to others. May I not be shackled by a scarcity mentality as I serve the limitless God of abundance. May I be quick to share what I have cheerfully, giving thanks for all the times I have received and even more thanks for the blessing of blessing others. Amen.

2 Corinthians 8:2-5

In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.
