Sweet Lord and Father, thank you for upholding me with your grace and displays of love in the midst of difficult times. When everything feels too much and I am weighted by discouragement, you sweep in with gestures of kindness and provision to lift my spirit and empower my steps forward. Thank you for using the people and resources around me to remind me of your ever-present aid and care. Help me never take for granted your goodness no matter what my circumstances. Amen.
Psalm 46:1-5
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
