Healing Laughter

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Father, thank you for the medicinal gift of laughter. Even in the throes of frustration and pain, you lighten my heart by highlighting the humor in things. In loss you remind me of happy memories. When I’m incensed by something trivial, you show me the ridiculousness of the situation. You surround me with people whose delight sweeps me up from low moods and cranks the volume on that bright melody you’ve composed in my spirit. Thank you for swirling mirth and joy into the mix of life. Amen.

Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
