Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Father, in low times of life we are gifted the opportunity to experience your lovingkindness in uniquely deep ways. If we never suffered, we could not begin to grasp your passionate sacrifice for us. If we did not hurt in body, mind, or spirit, we would miss the precious insight into your devoted care. Lord, when we inevitably face trials in this life, help us make the most of them. Show us who you are. Reveal the love you desire to lavish on us when we are at our most vulnerable. Amen.
James 1:2-4
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
