Liberated Love

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Gracious Father, forgive me for shortchanging your love by believing I must earn it. Though your word is clear that your love is not dependent on my efforts, part of me still adheres to litigious ideas about proving myself worthy in order to keep it. God, grant me an extraordinary sense of your heart toward me that my spirit would be liberated and renewed in its understanding of who you are. Help me receive your love how you desire to lavish it. Amen.

Galatians 3:12-14

The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
