Lord, there are times I feel cut off from you, not by your choice or neglect but due to my sin and patterns of poor living. I question if my prayers rise past the ceiling or just dissipate into nothingness. But you, good Father, hear me. Your ear is bent to your children no matter what condition we’re in. Thank you for listening to my cries of need and deigning to reach your holy hand toward me in compassion. Amen.
Psalm 31:22
In my alarm I said,
“I am cut off from your sight!”
Yet you heard my cry for mercy
when I called to you for help.
