Holy Spirit, please bless me with discernment to see when my objective isn’t the problem, but rather the way I go about accomplishing it. You have gifted me with abilities and qualities meant for your glory, but I can misuse them and sin without realizing it. Both my purpose and the steps of faith I take in pursuit of it must come from you, Lord. May my obedience to you be total and complete in every detail. Amen.

Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned. I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.”
