Perspective

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Dear Lord, your heavenly vantage point gives you perfect perspective on all things. Often, I think I have all the answers, that I know better than others. But the truth is I only see a tiny sliver of the big picture. I see only what sits directly before me–how people act, what they say, surface appearances–but you, God, see into people’s hearts. Nothing is hidden from you. Forgive me, Lord, please, for my prejudices and hypocrisy. Help me see those around me through your adoring eyes. Lead me in loving others instead of judging them. Amen.

1 Samuel 16:7

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
