Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Father, you open a whole new world of privileges to those who accept you as Lord and Savior. From peace and joy to purpose and comfort to provision and guidance, you lavish us with your absolute best. But sometimes I lose perspective on the most important thing: having a personal relationship with you. Lord, please forgive me for prioritizing what you do for me over honoring who you are. The greatest gift of all is having access to you. If you did nothing at all for me ever again, just being able to speak with you would still be extravagantly more than I deserve. Thank you, Jesus, for all you do for me. But more importantly, thank you for being who you are. Amen.
Luke 10:17-20
The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
