Reframing Weaknesses

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Wise Father, you know that my first instinct toward shortcomings and limitations within myself is not to be glad or grateful. I am more likely to grumble, give up, or pout. This gets me nowhere but deeper into the problem. Teach me to break the cycle of this unproductive thinking, feeling, and behaving. Reveal the root of any false beliefs within me. Rewire me to rejoice in these opportunities for experiencing your redemptive work firsthand, strengthening areas of weakness, and becoming the person I am meant to be for your glory. Amen.

2 Corinthians 12:10

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
