Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Father God, I realize how worry provides me with a false sense of security. Part of me thinks that by worrying I am anticipating dangers or problems so that I can either avoid or lessen them. In reality, all I am doing by worrying is sapping my overall health and wellbeing, setting me up for real complications instead of imaginary ones. Lord, help me trust your omniscient and loving character. Help me believe with all my heart that you value me enough to create good out of any bad situation I may face. Fix the gaze of my heart on you instead of the unknowns over the horizon. Thank you for your understanding and patience as I retrain myself to offer you all my what-ifs. Amen.

Matthew 6:26-27

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
