Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Lord, there is such gracious blessing in confessing sin to faithful believers who walk with one another along the path of sanctification. When we share our burdens, embarrassing and difficult as that can be, those burdens become lighter and lighter until they no longer weigh on us, and we are free to help shoulder the burden of someone else. This does not absolve us of taking responsibility for our actions and shortcomings but grants us the aid of accountability. Moving forward, Lord, do not let me isolate myself in shame when I fall, but give me the courage and humility to seek restoration in community with your people. Amen.
Galatians 6:1-5
Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load.
