Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Jesus, nothing can truly change me at my core but you. I will always revert back to seeking my own comfort, pleasure, and satisfaction. I will let the poisons of judgment, cynicism, selfishness, and dishonesty seep into the fabric of my thoughts and actions. Only being confronted by the perfection of who you are and your radical love for me will shake me from pursuing these sinful patterns. Renew me, Lord. Restructure the way I think and retrain my behaviors. Make me a masterpiece of your transformative work. Amen.
Ephesians 4:21-24
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
