Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.
Holy God, I am guilty of downplaying your perfection so that I do not have to feel so convicted about all the ways I willfully act against your commands and desires. This is nothing short of prideful idolatry, placing myself on your rightful throne in my heart. In reality, I should tremble in humble awe of your righteousness and strive with every spiritual and material fiber of my being to live obediently in utter gratitude to you for your mercy and grace. Help me, Lord, see you for who you are and align my life to your will and character accordingly. Amen.
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
