Removing Blinders

God, grant me the courage to face the flaws and blind spots in my beliefs, perceptions, and ways of doing things. Fuel my curiosity about those whose struggles and challenges are different from my own experience. Help me listen with humility and compassion as their stories reveal how I’ve been feeding into the systems oppressing them. Lord, inspire me to live more thoughtfully and creatively so that I can be an ongoing part of change for your kingdom. Remove the blinders preventing me from seeing how I and my society devalues others. Help me stare those injustices in the face and act in wisdom and love to rectify them. Amen.

Galatians 3:26-28

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
