Father, thank you for your unfailing, unflagging love. When I put the desires of my flesh ahead of your holy desires for me, you still look upon me with compassion. When I fail to serve others as you would have me serve them, you still minister to my needs. When I rail against you in times of confusion and mourning, your Holy Spirit still whispers peace and understanding into my heart. Father, let me not take you for granted but live in humble recognition of your longsuffering dedication to me, a sinner. Amen.
